The Alampay, also known as the Kandungga or Panuelo, is the feature piece of a Maria Clara outfit, the Traje de Mestiza; the stunning shawl that wraps around Maria Clara's blouse. A modern take on the classic Maria Clara is to wear the Alampay on its own, over an evening dress or skirt & blouse ensemble. The Alampay is a subtle nod to your Filipino heritage, leaving you looking and feeling like an elegant, modern Filipina.

Size and Fit

Our sizing follows standard Australian sizes, with US and UK equivalents in the size guide. For a looser or more structured look, size up. If you are between sizes, message us with your bust, waist and hip measurements and we will recommend the best fit.

Dry clean recommended, or gentle hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry or bleach. Cool iron on the reverse, keeping the iron away from embroidery, sequins and beading. Store on a padded hanger with the sleeves supported.
