The 'Tapis' maxi wrap skirt is a limited edition piece made for the runway by Filipino-Australian fashion designer Louisa Parkinson. Only a small handful were ever made, making this a rare collectible that will never be restocked once sold.

"I love modern interpretations of the traditional tapis, and this one is handmade by yours truly. Traditionally, the tapis is a short length wrap-around overskirt worn over a saya (skirt), but for a modern wardrobe I reimagined it as a sheer embroidered lace maxi wrap skirt layered over loose trousers. It feels playful, contemporary, and wearable while still honouring our cultural roots. I can absolutely imagine wearing this to a folk art festival or cultural celebration.
Wear this over a mini skirt for an evening look, or over trousers for a relaxed vibe. This tapis pairs beautifully with the ‘Banika’ Filipiniana Bolero.
